Worcestershire's new Regulatory Service, which includes trading standards, environmental health and local district licensing activities will have officers on hand for the event.
A fair trading officer with knowledge of consumer protection legislation and contract law will be on hand to provide advice to members of the public on the day. Officers will be raising awareness about issues such as doorstep crime and rogue traders which can impact on vulnerable members on our community.
Officers with an array of knowledge about trading standards legislation and environmental health work will be promoting a number of initiatives such as the Regulatory Services trader register, a register of local tradesmen who have agreed to abide by a code of practice, will be promoted.
Members of the public will also be able to pick up free "No cold calling" cards which can be displayed at your home to deter door to door callers.
An environmental health professional will also be in attendance to advise on a wide range of issues, ranging from food poisoning and hygiene through to air quality and nuisance neighbours.
