Our Retirement Living Homes are aimed at those over 60, or for those who might require a bit more help, for example because of a disability.

Stonewater offers affordable rented homes. Commonly known as social housing, we're a bit like a lettings agency for those who cannot privately rent a home perhaps because of cost and availability.

Our schemes

Stonewater Retirement Living options include estates and individual properties in Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

Life within our Retirement Living Schemes provides a home for those over 60 wishing to maintain an independent way of life in a secure and friendly environment with likeminded people.

In these homes we provide our housing management service which can be tailored to your requirements. The self contained homes are centred around communal lounges and other facilities. Each home also has the option of an integrated pull cord 24 hour care alarm system for added peace of mind.

For those not looking to live in one of our retirement living schemes, we have properties reserved for those over 55 or with particular needs but do not require such regular contact. These properties are located within our general estates in towns and some more rural properties. In these properties support is available, where required, from our staff, a 24 hour care alarm facility and from other agencies.

What can you expect?

We feel that our service really reflects the way we want you to feel in your home; independent and safe. The homes and services were designed to make life easier and give security. They may have adaptations to ease difficulties with daily life or have communal rooms to enable contact with other people and services.

Most importantly, the one thing they all have in common is the fact that the tenants can live in their own homes independently, the team visit weekly but we only offer assistance when asked to.

We understand that each person will want a unique blend of housing and support services which our dedicated team are able to offer.

Our mission is to offer quality homes and services for people whose needs are not met by the open market.

The role of the Home Visiting Team

Each scheme benefits from a Home Visiting Officer being on site each week day. They are responsible for the welfare of residents and estate management. We also work in partnership with well established local care and support providers to assist people who need extra help in their homes.

Home visiting officers will make every effort to help in any way possible. They work to strict guidelines on professional boundaries and responsibilities which protect the resident and staff to ensure a safer working relationship.
