QiGong (and Tai Chi) are an effective holistic system of self-preservation against the stresses and strains of daily life. Learn to slow down; relax your mind and body; feel not think; relax with structure; feel inner and thus outer softness; learn to Let It Go; and to Do Less.
The slow, soft, graceful movements and relaxed abdominal breathing of these arts have been shown to improve the efficiency of your mind and body – through key aspects of the arts of improved balance; flexibility; and mindfulness (“being in the moment”).
Alan has been learning
Tai Chi and Qigong for 13 years (and continues to learn) and has been helping people for 6 years to enjoy the art and to help improve their overall wellbeing.
He runs regular classes for amongst others - local residential homes; the Stroke Association; AgeUK; local hospitals; Sight Concern; and various Carers groups.
The groups consist of people of all ages and all abilities, standing or seated.
Each person has their own reason for enjoying the movements and the benefits they gain, so
Alan has learned to develop each class style and specific content to suit these needs and differences between individuals.
This is a really important aspect as everyone is unique.
Alan is a qualified instructor in Tai Chi Chuan and Qigong - this qualification provided by Mark Peters our teacher at Kai Ming and Painting the Rainbow.
Alan is also a member of the Tai Chi Union of Great Britain (TCUGB), and the British Health QiGong Association.
During the day Alan will be on hand to explain the benefits of QiGong and Tai Chi. He will also be providing a couple of demonstrations of this wonderful arts so that people will have the opportunity to try QiGong and Tai Chi for themselves.
