What we do

Have you been thinking about making changes to your lifestyle but wonder how? Or are you struggling to keep to your goals? Then we can help.

The Healthy Lifestyle Trainer’s Service is a free, confidential service offering practical advice and support to people who want to:-

  •     Lose Weight
  •     Eat Healthier
  •     Get Fitter
  •     Stop Smoking
  •     Cut down on Alcohol

Healthy Lifestyle Trainers offer one to one support to help people who are struggling to make changes to their lifestyle. We will help you set your own personal goals specific to your needs, ones that fit with your lifestyle and we will support you over a period of 6 sessions. We are able to meet you within the community and at a time that suits you (e.g. in a community centre, leisure facility or café)

Our Healthy Lifestyle Trainers are all people from the local community with the skills to help you and an excellent knowledge of services and activities in your area.
Group activities

The Healthy Lifestyle Trainers are also available to provide group support. If you are part of a group who want to make healthier changes to your lifestyle, e.g. start a diet club, stop smoking club or exercise club, we can help you set your goals and help support you with your progress. Sometimes making changes can be easier with the support of a group.

Presentations to groups

We can also provide a presentation about any of the topics mentioned above to your local community group, club or voluntary group etc.

Small steps

Making changes to your health can be done in small steps and any healthy change you make will make a difference to your health.
